SLIP INTO COMFORT
Our lightest, most compact, most flexible, and lowest-cost slipper yet. The new, limited edition, Kanga slippers champion simplicity without compromising on the style, comfort and quality you’d expect from any other Baabuk product.
As with all our slippers, our Kangas are handcrafted by our team of artisans in Nepal, using the traditional art form of wool felting. It’s considered the oldest textile in the world that only uses water and soap!
Our usual latex sole has been replaced with a simple latex coating to maximize flexibility, harvested sustainably from rubber trees. All so that you know that the materials in your slippers are responsibly sourced from heel to toe.
All WoolWe make our felted wool slippers the traditional way: by hand using only 100% New Zealand wool, soap and water to give them a light, cozy feel that makes anywhere you wear them feel like home. The more you wear them, the more they mold to your feet to give you an individual fit that’s as personal as our time-honored manufacturing process, signified by the red knots on the label that are hand-stitched by expert artisans. |
Light as a FeatherRather than latex soles, you’ll find a light, flexible latex coating on the bottom of your Kanga slippers. Harvested from rubber trees, the 100% natural latex coating is a sustainable material. Not only does this material give your slippers pliability, but we’ve also chosen it for its resilience – so you can enjoy your slippers for years to come. |
Add your InsolesFor the sake of lightness, our Kanga slippers don’t come with our usual wool insoles. They’re designed to be worn without, and are exceptionally comfy as they are. But, if you wish to add further comfort and durability, you have the option to add some of our padded insoles. Also made from wool felt, they share the same wool-wicking and antimicrobial qualities of our slipper uppers, making them the perfect shoe to slip your bare feet into at home. |
Care FAQ
How do I wash and clean my Baabuk Slippers?
We do not recommend using the washing machine for our slippers. Washing machines, aggressive soaps, and chemicals/alcohols may cause the natural soles to melt. We recommend cleaning with a damp cloth. You can clean the surface of the slippers to remove the dirt and dust. Do not put slippers near any heat source to dry. Doing so may damage the natural latex sole.

What if the slippers gets wet?
If your Baabuk slippers have gotten wet, simply remove and dry at room temperature. Avoid putting them in a dryer. The wool will not get damaged by water and will not shrink, as the raw material has already been washed and felted.
Can slippers be worn without insoles? How often should I replace slipper insoles?
All slipper styles can be worn without insoles. If you choose to wear your slippers with insoles, the insoles may need to be replaced after prolonged usage. Replacement insoles are available here.
